I was delighted that they could seat our party of six so close to closing time. They consistently kept our sweet tea topped up, and the food was surprising. We got the Dolsot Bibimbap and it was served piping hot in a wonderful presentation. I wasn’t expecting the meat to be sweet, and it was perfect with the spicy or savory sides. I loved the atmosphere, and the service was fantastic. They checked on us for last call, to ensure all of our consumption criteria were fulfilled. Great family location, and the sushi looked scrumptious.

I've never seen a menu so big! So many many choices! I'm new to sushi, and have found it ok but nothing I'd order myself. However, all that changed after my son brought home an order of Kimpbob, I loved it so much that I chose to eat here on Valentines Day! The steak melts in your mouth. You get alot of food for the price. (A appetizer, 2 entrees of chicken katsu, 2 ginger salads, and 1 soda was $59) Its a small establishment, but cute and clean! Most tables are equipped to cook your own food, but I chose a regular table. The staff were very nice, however 1 of our waitresses wouldn't speak to me or make eye contact with me in specific, which was a bit rude. I will note they were very busy, though that's really no excuse. Regardless, we had a great time and laughed it off. There's a parking lot around the corner. Will definitely return, probably for take out. It's a place I recommend, and dine in your 1st time, it's a great experience. A great place for dates as well!

Mangetsu in Old Town Melbourne is a true gem! We started with the Shrimp Tempura appetizer — perfectly crisp and delicious. I had the Yakisoba, which was flavorful and satisfying, while my wife loved the Green Curry — rich, aromatic, and full of depth. What really made the night special was Amanda, our server. She was friendly, attentive, and made us feel so welcome from start to finish. Between the amazing food and outstanding service, Mangetsu is easily one of the best dining experiences we’ve had in Melbourne. We’ll definitely be back!
